What's with les gendarmes? Some kind of croque-monsieur emergency at the brasserie??
Your posting title could be a book title...
There was some "event" at Les Invalides on June 6. I was thinking it could be related to D Day, but I don't think so. The Ecole Militaire is close by, so the soldiers look very young in most cases. There was a band too. They parked their buses right near me and I stood and gawked at them as they marched by. Love the old style spats. The officers wear these great round hats--je l'aime!
