Extra!!!

A Customer Care Specialist has contacted me!

Yaay!

The note says that because "this issue requires a substantial amount of information for follow up, we look forward to speaking with you directly," and I have to call their 800 number.

More to come!

That was fast -- you got their attention all right! If you're not comfortable talking to them, I should think you could request that the discourse remain written. The better to avoid a lawyer working you over verbally...

Hmmm, you're right as usual, sm. I have not called yet. Something is making me not call. I probably will, though, just to make progress on it. Dunno. I keep thinking how glad I am that I didn't try and feed the yogurt to little Molly.

You can always call and see how it goes, and stop them and ask them to send you the written questions if you don't like their tone. That might be better than being standoffish right off the bat anyway -- gives them a chance to do the right thing.

Speaking of kids and unexpected non-foodstuffs, how has Cracker Jack stayed in business? And what do cereal companies do now? I remember pouring many bowls of cereal with some strange plastic gizmo hidden in it...

The relief that it wasn't a tooth would be very much offset by the fact that it was actually a foreign, metal object in your mouth - yuk! (What was worse - that or the mouse in your coat pocket?)I hear ya - so glad you got a response and hopefully they will suitably recompense. Meanwhile .... ejoy your summer and Happy Independence Day!

Thanks, Kay! The mouse was worse, I'd say. I am plagued with unpleasant surprises.
sm, we expected to find Cracker Jacks prizes, right? And cereal prizes too. When you're not expecting it, that's the worst.
I guess I will call them on Tuesday.
